Opened on March 5, 2004, Oars and Paddles Park is dedicated to flat water sports (rowing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boards) and it is the home of Space Coast Crew. Water access to the Banana River is available using the park's 72 foot floating dock. The park is also very popular with cyclists and runners who take advantage of the park's close location to scenic South Tropical Trail.

Directions to the Boathouse:

  • From Melbourne take the Eau Gallie Causeway east to the beaches (Coming from I-95 take Exit #183).
  • Travel across the Indian River Causeway to S. Patrick Drive in Indian Harbour Beach.
  • At the first traffic signal, turn left (north) onto S. Patrick Drive.
  • At the second traffic signal, turn left (west) onto Banana River Drive.
  • Oars & Paddles Park is on the left. The boathouse is on the west end of the park

  • 16 Concept II indoor rowing machines

Arrangements can be requested with the Youth Program for use of larger four and eight man racing shells.
