Learn-to-row Sculling Camps

Sculling Classes are suspended until May 2012. Stay tuned for Sweep Rowing camps coming soon.

We are offering a series of “Introduction to sculling” weekend clinics. These 3-day clinics are designed as an introduction to sculling for those who have never rowed before.  Class size is limited to 6 people to allow for more personal one-on-one time with instructors.  All the clinics in this series follow the same agenda so you only need to attend one to get started.

Who:

Any able bodied person (ages 12 and older). Families are welcome. The ability to swim is a requirement.

When:

The clinic starts on Friday with a land training session from 5 to 7 pm and continues on Saturday and Sunday with water sessions from 8 to 10 am. Check the Calendar above for the next scheduled weekend clinic.

Where:

We will meet Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Oars and Paddles Park Boathouse, Indian Harbour Beach.

Sign up Information:

Due to the limited space, advance reservations are recommended. Please email info@RowBrevard.org to reserve your space. Those who show up on the first day without a reservation will be taken on a space available basis.

The cost is $50 person. Make checks payable to "Space Coast Crew - ARP". Signed waivers are required. Bring your payment and waiver with you.

What to bring:

Comfortable work out clothes (t-shirt, shorts and socks - bike-style shorts are recommended), water bottle, sun protection, and a ready-to-have-a-good-time attitude!

Joining SCARP:

Here is your chance to practice what you have learned.  Signed applications are required.  Special offer: apply your clinic fee toward your annual membership fee.  Members will be required to pass a swim test.  The test is to swim one lap and tread water for 10 minutes.  We use the heated pool at Glenson Park.
